Clémence Caillouel est comédienne et clowne. Elle développe un théâtre où se rencontrent la performance, le théâtre expérimental, le clown et le bouffon. Sur le fil entre humour et tragédie, son travail est sensible, personnel et souvent proche du grotesque. Depuis une dizaine d’années, elle vit et travaille entre Barcelone, Berlin et la Normandie. 

Elle s’est formée au Laboratorio Teatro de Barcelone et à l’Académie des Arts de Minsk, puis au chant avec Lise Huber, Lulu Berthon et Victor Turull. Elle a étudié la performance avec Abel Azcona et réalisé des stages de clown et de bouffon avec Eric Blouet, Cedric Paga, Gözde Atalay, Iván Prado, Joël Roth, Fanny Giraud et Pablo Ibarluzea.

En 2016, elle fonde LA VOLADA pour héberger ses créations théâtrales et clownesques et elle crée PAULINA (1er Prix du Festival Les Floréales Théâtrales 2017 – Prix Tournesol/Mention Spéciale du Jury Festival Avignon OFF 2019 – Prix de la meilleure Comédienne / Prix Avignon à l’Unisson), THE REQUIEM OF SOPHIE WITHMAN (Berlin Performing Art Festival) et LE CHEVREUIL ET DALIDA (Festival du Curieux Printemps, Fest’Hiver d’Avignon).

Elle a travaillé avec le Papillon Noir Théâtre, puis avec le collectif Flight of the Escales pour la création du spectacle NO WAY OUT (COM MOON A Festival 2019 / Prix du meilleur spectacle – Ballhaus Ost Berlin – Camden People’s Theatre – Festival Alytaus Teatras). 

Aujourd’hui elle joue avec la Compagnie OfW (∇– TOUR), le collectif CircOliva (VERMUT ACROBÁTICO – Festival de la Mercé 2021) et la Compagnie Laboratorio Teatro (SHAKESPEARE & CIA).

Clémence Caillouel is a performer, clown, director and facilitator who is generally found between Barcelona, Berlin and Normandy.  She focuses her research in developing theatre that is a blend of experimental theatre, performance art and dark clowning. Her work is personal and sensitive, sometimes extreme and grotesque, often funny, tragic and unusual.

She graduated in experimental theater in the Teatro Laboratorio of Barcelona, she trained at the Belarus Arts Academy in Minsk, studied singing with Lulu Berthon and Lise Hubber, and performance art with Abel Azcona. She took part of clowning workshops given by Eric Blouet, Ludor Citrik, Gozde Atalay, Iván Prado, Fanny Giraud, Joël Roth and Pablo Ibarluzea.

In October 2014, she created “Paulina”, a solo-performance adapted from La casa de la fuerza by Angélica Liddell (1st Prize Festival Les Floréales 2017 – Jury Special Mention of the Tournesol Prize / Festival Avignon OFF 2019 – Avignon à l’Unisson / Best Actress Prize).

She worked with Le Papillon Noir Théâtre and with Flight of the Escales on No Way Out (COM MOON A Festival best performance award 2019) which was showcased at Ballhaus Ost Berlin, Camden People’s Theatre and Festival Alytaus Teatras Lithuania. Currently, she performs with OfW Company, CircOliva collective, and Laboratorio Teatro.

In 2016, she founded LA VOLADA to host her theater and clown productions: Paulina, Le Chevreuil et Dalida and The Requiem of Sophie Withman.
